What Makes the Booking Different
Bluebird runs on LatePoint, a WordPress booking plugin. On top of it, I built a custom addon — over 20,000 lines of code — to shape the booking experience for snowboard lessons.
Everything is configurable from the WordPress admin. No code changes needed to adjust settings.
Features
Booking Wizard
Guests select their sport, skill level, and preferred language before seeing instructors. Steps and options are fully configurable — add, remove, or reorder them in settings.
Instructor Capability Matching
Each instructor’s skills are stored and used to filter results. Capabilities are assigned per instructor in the admin panel.
Multi-Day Booking
Guests can select multiple lesson dates in a single booking. Enable or disable per service, set a maximum number of days.
Multilingual Support
The guest’s language is detected automatically. Booking confirmations and emails go out in it, and service names, extras and custom fields are translated too.
Availability Calendar
A shortcode displays instructor availability with AM/PM indicators. Configure cutoff times, service bundles, and dropdown order in settings.
Conditional Email Variables
Email templates support conditional blocks like {{#if_extra:pickup}}. Configure which extras trigger which variables — no code editing required.
Conditional Form Fields
Pickup address and participant details appear only when relevant extras are selected. Map extras to fields in settings.
Custom Group Pricing
A flat surcharge per extra participant instead of multiplying the full price. Set the amount in settings.
Booking Cutoff
Block last-minute bookings. Configure the cutoff time and how many days in advance bookings must be made.
